What is CoQ10?

Structurally related to vitamin K, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a member of the ubiquinone family of compounds. The name ubiquinone refers to the ubiquitous (i.e. found everywhere) presence of these compounds in living organisms, which reflects the importance of CoQ10 to human health and metabolism.
