One of cancer patients who has brain tumor radiation 3 years ago, had MRI scan 4 months ago to follow up, the result showed that the tumor area where tumor was removed and radiated just developed large area of radiation effect. It was large in the side and as big as the size of the tumor. The question was why the radiation took so long time to develop the radiation side effect. Dr. didn't give him any answers, nor any treatment, but told him that radiation effect result varied by person. Some of patients developed faster and some happened slowly and the radiation effect would take time to heal. He did some research by himself and want to find out what would help with the radiation effect of his brain tumor and he found that Black Sesame Seeds may be the answer, so he added Black Sesame Seeds into his daily diet and drank it in the morning almost everyday. Four months later, he had another brain MRI scan and his radiation effect area was shrunk by half. He doesn't know for sure what contributes to that, but he told me that what has changed for him in the last 4 months in diet is mainly the consumption of Black Sesame Seeds, which he takes about 1/4 cup almost every days. Below may be the reasons why Black Sesame Seeds is affecting the reducing in size of the radiation effect.

Chinese medicine believe that black sesame seeds have great medicinal value and are good at nourishing the kidney and liver and promoting hair growth and hair colour. According to the Chinese science, the hair is nourished by the blood and the skin receives moisture from the body’s Yin. So when there is deficiency in the Yin and the blood, it will affect the hair and the skin, causing hair loss, greying, and dry or itchy skin.
